Over and out!

Yesterday I had my last day at work. These three months went by pretty fast. I had a really good time there and the people were great. I guess, I will profit a lot from the experience I've made there in my next jobs. I liked especially how everyone at Kairos Future put much effort in creating a good working environment in order to have more than just a job-related connection. It's so important to feel not as a slave at work, but as a respected person in a team where everyone takes care of each other.
Thanks for having me!

Möja

Another island, another boat ride. This time we went to Möja which is one of the biggest island in the Stockholm archipelago, but also very far away from the city ... almost 4 hours with the ferry. We stayed the night in a tent, made some barbecue at the shore and rode with some rented bikes around Möja. The island was pretty much dead because we came two weeks before the main tourist season starts, what we haven't known until we've arrived there. On the hand it was perfect that the island was not crowded and hectic at all, on the other hand almost nothing was open. No restaurant, no café, nothing.... luckily, we brought all our food with us and had not to starve, but I was very happy to get my coffee on the ferry on our way back to Sthlm. The island is beautiful in the summer, but take a look ....

The last picture was taken about 11PM. It never gets completely dark at this time of the year.
As nice as it is on the island and as much we enjoyed our time there, you really have to be made for staying the entire year on this island. We met a couple which lives already for several years on Möja. I guess, I would go crazy, especially in the winter season.

Good:
- Vegetarian food, because even when your grill sucks and the stuff is not completely done, you still can eat anyhow.
- Midsummer

Bad:
- Those barbecue grill for one time usage
- Watching the German soccer team lose

Keep on walking

651.842 steps in 39 days! My company has taken part in a step competition that lasted from the end of April till the beginning of June. Everyone got equipped with a step counter and by the end of the competition there were more 32.000 registered participants in total. I think I did quite well, but more interesting is the fact how much or less steps you get together every day ... so, you get really aware about your daily walking.651.842 steps are about 480 kilometers ... about the distance between Gothenburg and Stockholm ... haha!

Tribute...

... to one of the greatest.

Ella was in a hurry!

Two weeks to early, but healthy and everybody is happy about you ... my second niece was born on 31st of May and I became uncle for the 4th time. Good to have you here, Ella, and welcome in the family. On the weekend my mother and my sister visited me for an extended weekend. During our trip back from the island of Vaxholm in the Stockholm archipelago on Saturday we got a message from my other sister, that she is already in the hospital, because Ella was in a hurry. You should have seen the face of my mother on the boat ... haha!!

Big brothers and little sisters:Ben, look out for her!
